Day 8 - Communication
When Jordan was first diagnosed I thought I was in for some hard times, but that was hardly the case.
Our bond was and continued to be unique.
Yes I had a non-verbal child who couldn't communicate, but I understood him. I understood him very well.
All of his wants and needs.
I knew when he wanted to eat, when he was tired, when he was hurt and when he wanted to play. Life raising a disabled child wasn't so bad.
Would it be easier if he could talk? Of course.
But what would be the be the fun in that. There was something special about our way of communicating. As if we were the only two people in the world that spoke the language.
Our bond was and continued to be unique.
