The body's ability to heal

Proverbs 3:7-8 7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; 

Fear the LORD and depart from evil. 8 It will be health to your flesh. 

And strength to your bones.

Just a few minutes ago I came across an interesting article about a president who had a study done because he wanted to have a larger budget for the war on drugs. Two years later when it was completed it was found out the drug he wanted to prove caused lung cancer like cigarettes, that drug being cannabis, actually attacked the mutated cells within the body that cause damage, and strengthen the healthy cells therefore curing cancer. Of course only when it is taken in high concentrated dosages, not by smoking it. However, I'm not going to go too much into detail about this particular drug, or the article because I don't know how true it is, but I did want to share with you what I do know about the body healing itself.

There are a lot of natural things that God put on this earth to keep our body healthy that are put in the form of supplements. My son takes plenty of these supplements to help him with his autism and he is doing great. The fact that there are big companies *coughs FDA coughs*, who want to disprove that these supplements, which are again natural, are giving false hope to families who want to try this approach to heal their child. I read another article where they are claiming that they are ineffective, costly and dangerous. And in the same article it mentions how the same company approved two man made drugs to help children cope with their symptoms, and have serious side effects. Now I do understand that there can be a danger when administering chelation therapy because what it does is remove metals from the body. If you do not have an overload of metals, and you take a chelator such as the DMSA I use for Jordan, it can be fatal because we have metals that we do need in our body to keep us healthy. BUT that is why you only use it under the care of a licensed DAN! doctor who knows the ins and outs of what and how to test your children for this problem. By the way, there has only been one case where I heard of a child dying from chelation therapy and it was an IV form and it was because there was a mix up and the wrong medicine was given to the child.

The point I'm trying to make is this. If we as parents want to find alternative ways to help our children, we should have every right. If it works fine, if not fine too. There shouldn't be any restrictions or telling families that these things can not help our children and forcing companies to stop selling supplements that contribute to the well being of their child. And at the same time commend drugs made that have side effects more harmful than the characteristics that the child suffering with autism may have. But the companies want to make long term money from short term goals. Meaning they will give you their man made forms of whatever to help you cope with your ailment and keep you alive longer than with no treatment, to keep the money going into their pockets. I mean really, all these years, no cure for cancer. I mean if you think about it, what major disease out there do they have a cure for? None that I can think of.

But there is no doctor, drug, radiation or surgery that can heal you, it is only the body that has the power to heal. The body is amazing. God created it just right. All we have is the power to bring about the conditions to help the body do what God designed
it to do. And that is heal itself. I read a good analogy that when a bone is broken, all a doctor can do is align the bone back together, but that's it. The bones come back together on their own. Radiation can burn the body with the already weakened immune system, surgery only removes the problem, but doesn't help the source of the problem. The immune system is key. It needs to be provided with good nutrition to help protect the body from harmful ailments such as cancer and in my son's case autism. That's why I am sure that with what I am doing to help my son's immune system get back on track with the help of the DAN! doctor he has and the supplements that he has to take, he WILL be cured. Because God said so.
