It has been revealed
Jordan had a follow-up appointment with his functional medicine doctor on the last Tuesday in September. I was excited about this follow-up because of all the positives I've seen in Jordan over the last several weeks. When I do the magnesium foot soaks with Jordan, sometimes the water splashes and leaves white residue on whatever it hits. He got it on his comforter recently, and I mentioned to him to take it down the next time he takes his clothes down, so I can wash it as well. A few days later, when I told him to take his clothes down, he remembered to take the comforter with him. Since then, I have decided to break down the routine we do every Saturday into pieces and do it throughout the week in addition to what we do on Saturday. He receives his foot soaks, sauna, castor oil pack, and red light therapy 3-5 times a week to help his body detox more than he does on just Saturdays. But it's broken up so that it's not overwhelming me every day.
Jordan completed the second session of the para 1 and never got to take the para 2. I mentioned in my last post how I tried to give it to him in a small dose to build up his tolerance, but his stimming was just as bad as it would be if I had given him a whole pill. That was the Sunday that I wanted him to go into his classroom at church, but he wanted to stay in the sanctuary, and we received prayer. However, after he had completed the para 1, his stimming increased. Because I received good information from ChatGPT about the situation with him before, I checked on the para 1 and 2 supplements, and it helped me see that I needed to increase one of his supplements to the maximum dose.
Although Jordan is on a meat diet, he faces some issues when eating beef, lamb, and chicken. For starters, the more the meat ages, the more the histamine levels increase because it is less fresh. Allowing the meat to sit out to thaw is not advisable because, as it warms, bacteria grow, and this is where histamine production occurs. Therefore, I now allow his meat to thaw in the refrigerator. At the same time, unbeknownst to me, he also stopped eating lamb because there was none available for purchase. So his physical stimming completely stopped and didn't return. The tics were still there. It wasn't until yesterday that I received a revelation.I introduced a new supplement, gut nutrients, to his regimen. I also decreased the HCL/Pepsin because two doses at lunch caused a slight, and I mean very slight, increase in stimming. It was after dinner that I noticed his physical stimming returned. At first, I thought that 2 pills of the HCL at breakfast and 1 pill for lunch and dinner was the sweet spot. Then I remembered the new supplement. I checked out the ingredients, and lo and behold, it contained bark. I found that para 2 also contained bark during the follow-up. And there you have it. Bark is an issue for him because it also contains salicylates, which I learned yesterday as well. Now I just need to figure out what to do with his gut to keep him from having these issues with salicylates. When you ask God for the answer, trust me, He will give it to you. Matthew 7:7 (NIV) says, "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." During the prayer night at church, I prayed for God to be in the middle of this, and He was. He allowed the lamb to be removed so I could see that it was something that was affecting Jordan. That was the biggest thing, aside from learning that bark is one of the things that he has a sensitivity to. I had a feeling bark was an issue with Jordan, but I could never really prove it. But yesterday it was proven. Today, I am convinced that I am going in the right direction with this. To God be the glory.
